Dr. Sanjai Jalaj, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in corneal, cataract, and refractive surgery. With a reputation for precision and compassionate care, he has performed thousands of sight-restoring procedures for patients in Morris and Essex counties over the past 5 years. Dr. Jalaj is Vice Chairman of Ophthalmology at Morristown Medical Center. He is highly skilled in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, utilizing the most advanced intraocular lens implants to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses.


His expertise also includes state-of-the-art corneal transplantation techniques such as Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK), which preserves more natural tissue for optimal vision outcomes.
